Armed robbery outside Tastee Cream in La Porte

A 20-year-old says he was robbed right outside the Tastee Cream ice cream shop in La Porte on Monday.

According to a La Porte Police Department press release, the victim said he was walking on the street near Tastee Cream when a silver car, occupied by people the victim knows, pulled over and exited the vehicle.

That's when the victim says he was shoved against the back wall of the ice cream shop and robbed at gunpoint. He says all of his money was removed from his pockets by the suspects.

Police say the suspects then fled the area in the same vehicle.

The case remains under investigation.
