Arrest made in armed home invasion in South Bend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A 22-year-old man was arrested as a suspect in an armed home invasion in September of this year, according to the South Bend Police Department.
Cedrick Holloway was charged with robbery, armed robbery, theft and two counts of kidnapping.
Around 6:30 a.m. on September 16, police were called to the 1300 block of Fairview Avenue for a report of a home invasion.
The victim said she woke up to an unknown man in her room who indicated he was armed.
After taking money and jewelry, the suspect allegedly forced the victim to drive him to an ATM for more money.
She drove him to a nearby gas station, where he said he’d hurt people inside if she told anyone what was happening, the victim recalled.
After getting more money, the suspect left the gas station, police said.
Police later identified him as Holloway.
