Arrest made in one stranger danger incident

On October 1, while walking to school around 8 a.m., the 11-year-old victim was approached by a Hispanic male.
She said the man tried to talk to her and grabbed her arm. She pulled away and ran to school.
Since the incident, officers have been patrolling the area around Hawthorne School looking for the suspect.
On October 9, officers located a man who matched the description provided by the victim.
On Friday, Manuel Rico Jimenez, 46, was arrested for level 6 felony battery on child under 14 years of age.
He also had a warrant out for failure to appear from Marshall County on a charge of possession of marijuana.
Police said Jimenez is a previously deported felon.
