SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- Art Beat 2019, Downtown South Bend's biggest annual event, kicks off Saturday from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m. This year the event takes place at the East Bank.
Organizers are expecting about 15,000 visitors for this years' Art Beat. More than 900 artists are scheduled to be showcased on Saturday.
The event will also include food vendors, five stages of live music, and displays from children artists. All artists are local and the event is free to the public.
Art Beat is usually held along Michigan Street, but construction moved the festival back to where it began in East Bank. A free shuttle will transport visitors from the parking garages downtown to the event.
