SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- For 20 years now, Art Beat has been a staple of the South Bend community, and will be back for another year of food, fun and free live music on Saturday.
Art Beat separates itself from other local art fairs with a focus on local; all artisan vendors must come from within St. Joe or one of its neighboring counties.
"So, the most unique part about Art Beat that sets it apart from local art fairs is you have to be local to participate," said Kylie Carter, Downtown South Bend's Director of Marketing and Events. "It's just something local people can participate in so that we can celebrate them."
With the 20-year anniversary is expected to be a few surprises, presented by DTSB. While the details are slim, Carter confirmed that all would be revealed around 2 p.m. near the Jefferson Street Bridge.
The festivities run from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and are completely free to attend.
