SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Authorities have identified a suspect in a deadly hit-and-run crash that happened Friday evening.
Dylan McDaniel, 26, was booked and arrested by St. Joseph County Police into the St. Joseph County Jail on Saturday.
On Friday, Aug. 31, 2018 St.Joseph County Fatal Alcohol Crash Team (FACT) and South Bend Police arrived to the scene of a deadly hit-and-run in the 200 block of Michigan Street near E Bowman Street.
FACT says the 54-year-old male victim was walking in the parking lane, heading southbound when he was struck by a driver.
The victim's identity has not been released pending next-of-kin notification.
The crash happened near a McDonald’s at approximately 8:15 p.m.
Formal charges for McDaniel are expected to be announced this week.
