Autopsy results on Jacob West released

LAPORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- The LaPorte County Coroner has released the results of the autopsy of 17-year-old Jacob West who died Wednesday.

West's manner of death was determined to be natural.

The cause of death was right ventricular cardiomyopathy.

According to the coroner, there was a thinning of the right ventricular wall of the heart. As his muscle thinned, it turned to fat.

He died when there wasn't enough muscle left to push blood to the rest of his body.
