KOSCIUSKO COUNTY, Ind. – The Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County is asking for the public’s help in finding suspects involved in an animal abandonment on Monday.

The organization says two men were seen leaving a dog at around 9:30 p.m. and abandoned the animal at their shelter.

AWL says that this is considered cruelty and neglect, and it is a crime and misdemeanor to abandon an animal in Indiana.

The organization asks individuals to not leave a pet after hours, and call local law enforcement to get help for the animal if needed.
