Baby recovering from gunshot wound

MIAMI -- A baby who was shot while still in her mother's womb was released from a South Florida hospital.

Baby Skyler's mom was shot in the head and stomach on Dec. 9 outside of a convenience store in Miami.

A bullet hit Skyler's arm and doctors were forced to deliver her more than a month early.

The mother is still recovering and has yet to meet her daughter.

"A lot of pictures, showing her pictures and stuff, but she hasn't gotten to see her. She hasn't seen her at all. So it's kind of a bitter, sad thing, you know what I mean," said Phillip Milton, Father.

Baby Skyler will have to wear a cast on her arm for a few more weeks, but is expected to make a full recovery.
