SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Greater Holy Temple Church and 12 other area community churches and sponsors are holding a giveaway at the YMCA in South Bend to get kids backpacks and supplies ahead of the new school year. The out reach program is being held on Monday, August 3rd at 7 p.m.
The goal is to pass out 800 to 1000 free backpacks full of school supplies.
To maximize safety, the giveaway will be held as a drive-thru event.
Additional donations of backpacks and supplies will be accepted by Pastor Ross of the Greater Holy Temple by calling 574-234-2351.
