Ball State University lifts warning; no ongoing threat

Ball State University has lifted the "shelter in place" warning for students and staff after the sighting of a man with a gun on campus.

The university tweeted students about the sighting at 8:30 p.m. Thursday saying a man with a gun was spotted in the area of DeHorty and Woodworth Halls. 

No shots were fired. 

Police say while there is no ongoing threat, the incident is still under investigation.
