Baseball showcase at Potato Creek
NORTH LIBERY, Ind. -- The Field of Potato Creek State Park will host a showcase put on by the Hoosier Bat Company on August 17 at 7 p.m.
This presentation will be hosted in the Nature Center of the park.
The show will give attendees an opportunity to learn about the nature aspect that has been a part of creating baseball bats within the Hoosier Bat Company.
Bats of the Valparaiso based company have been manufactured from ash trees since 1991.
The presentation will dive into how ash trees have helped the company create these homerun hitting tools that have been used by Sammy Sosa and enshrined in the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown.
This event is free and open to the public, after paying gate admission into the park.
Attendees are encouraged to bring snacks and ask plenty of questions.
