Beacon Health System announces job cuts due to "significant financial pressures"

ABC 57 SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A major local employer is cutting jobs.
According to a new statement, Beacon Health System is responding to "significant financial pressures" caused by rising care costs that they say are rising faster than reimbursement from the government and commercial insurance programs.
Beacon says most of the changes will be in administrative and operation areas. The scale of the job cuts is not yet known.
