Beacon Medical Group offers free skin cancer screenings

Physicians at the E Blair Warner Medicine Center on Michigan offered free cancer screenings from 5-7 Tuesday evening.

According to Memorial Hospital, one million Americans will be diagnosed with skin cancer this year.

The best way to protect yourself from getting cancer is to protect your skin from dangerous ultraviolet rays.

Doctors encourage undergoing regular skin checks and screenings to identify any abnormal growth.

ABC57 spoke to one man who has made these screenings a priority each year.

“Well I don't want to get any kind of skin affliction. I'd say it's a good idea for everybody. No matter what age really,” Allan Cambell said.
