SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- One of South Bend's parks that used to be a dumping site was added to a national list to be cleaned up.
Beck's Lake, which consists of LaSalle Park and the nearby homes on South Bend's west side, is now on the national priorities list better known as Superfund.
Soil samples have shown the park is contaminated with arsenic.
A long-term Superfund investigation will determine whether clean-up work will be necessary and what might be done to fix it.
