Beef patties recalled for containing "rubber-like" material

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind.- Over 2,000 pounds of raw ground beef burger patties produced in March are now being recalled following consumer complaints of a white "rubber-like" material found in the meat.

Illinois-based meat packer Weinstein Wholesale Meats, Inc. issued the recall of the 10.7-ounce packages containing two pieces of "100% Grass Fed & Finished Beef Burger Patties, 85% Lean/ 15% Fat" with "Use/Freeze by 4/11/23" on the package label.

The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) advised consumers that the product should be thrown out or returned for a full refund.
