Bees hand Silver Hawks 4th loss in 5 games

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Silver Hawks are certainly stepping up their game in more ways than one.

Fans at Wednesday night's game were among the first to try out the new field box seats.

Last week the Silver Hawks pulled out their bleachers and put in the new seating making for a more comfortable trip to the Cove.

The South Bend Silver Hawks took on the Burlington Bees Wednesday. The Bees scored two runs in the 9th inning and beat the South Bend Silver Hawks 5-3

More than 1,700 fans crowded Coveleski Stadium. The Hawks have now lost four of their last five games.

Thursday they’ll have another shot at a win. They play the Bees in the middle game of a three-game series at the Cove.
