Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety took a little extra time Monday to make sure one of the county's senior residents is well-taken care of.
The resident lives alone and Public Safety Officer Steve Johnson checks in on her consistently.
He went the extra mile by going to a local food bank to pick up some valuable food for her in preparation of the winter.
Johnson, along with Director Daniel McGinnis and Deputy Director Mike Clark, made a house call to deliver the food and to make sure the lifetime Benton Harbor resident had lunch.
The officials say they were more than happy to stop by.
