Benton Harbor Police investigating shooting on Lavette Avenue

BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- Benton Harbor police are investigating a shooting that happened on Lavette early Wednesday morning.
The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety responded to a home in the 900 block of Lavette around 1:15 a.m. to investigate a shooting.
When officers arrived, they found a 44-year-old man with a gunshot wound.
He was transported to the hospital and is stable.
