BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. - The Berrien County Health Department is offering "Walk-in Wednesdays," an opportunity for parents and guardians to get students back-to-school immunizations.
These clinics, with no appointment necessary, offer parents a flexible opportunity to ensure kids have needed immunizations for school as well as hearing, vision and dental screenings.
“It is critical kids receive the proper vaccinations and health screenings to keep themselves and their fellow classmates safe,” Berrien County Health Officer Guy Miller said.
Walk-in Wednesdays is available in Benton Harbor on August 9 and 30 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 2149 E. Napier Ave.
Vison and health screenings are not offered on August 30.
It will also be available in Niles on August 2 and 23 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.at 1205 N. Front St.
In Michigan, vaccines required for school entry include:
- Diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis
- Polio
- Measles, mumps and rubella
- Hepatitis B
- Varicella (Chickenpox)
