Berrien Springs Public Schools announces three choices for classes in the fall

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Berrien Springs Public Schools are giving parents three choices for their kids returning to school for the fall of 2020. Parents have from August 3rd to the 10th to make their decision.

The first choice will be in-person learning for Y5-12, typical of regular schooling. This will only be available if Michigan is in phase 4 of reopening and will follow all safety protocols.

The second choice is called remote classroom for Y5-5 and is a full semester commitment for students that want to return to in-person learning mid-year, but will only be available if a minimum number of students sign up for it.

Under remote classrooms students will receive regular instruction through live sessions with a teacher and will remain on the same schedule as the regular in-person classrooms.

The last choice is virtual academy for 1st-12th, which is purely online learning supported by highly qualified teachers. Students have access to support in-person and online.

For grades 1-5, virtual academy has a full year commitment with a homeschool feel.

For grades 6-12, virtual academy has only a full semester commitment.

Parents will need to contact their building secretary as follows:
