Berrien Township teen facing terrorism charge

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Michigan State Police took a 15-year-old male into custody on Wednesday on a charge of threat of terrorism, according to the Berrien County Prosecutor's Office.

The teen was a student at Berrien Springs High School and allegedly made a threat of violence.

The investigation did not find evidence violence towards another or a school was imminent, according to the prosecutor's office.

The Juvenile Division of the Berrien County Family Court accepted the Berrien County Prosecutor’s Office petition.

An arraignment date for the teen has not yet been set.
