Bethel College receives $100,000 grant

Bethel College has received a $100,000 grant from 1st Source Bank for four new clinical simulation laboratories in its School of Nursing, according to a press release.

Ron Zeltwanger, Regional President of 1st Source, presented $50,000 to the Dean of Nursing, Dr. Deborah Gillum and Rick Munroe, the Vice President for Institutional Advancement.

“With the increased demand for nurses in our community, 1st Source Bank is pleased to make this contribution,” said Zeltwanger in a press release. "Not only will the labs allow Bethel to accommodate new students, but they’ll be equipped with the latest and most advanced technology to ensure nurses get the best possible education and training.”

"Our friends at 1st Source did a remarkable thing, not just for Bethel College, but for our community,” said Bethel President Gregg Chenoweth, Ph.D in a press release. “Sickness is the great equalizer for us all -- old and young, poor and rich.  When the challenge comes, you want an excellent nurse. This gift helps Bethel maximally prepare care-givers for our region."
