Bethel University hosts first annual Festival of Jazz

MISHAWAKA, Ind.-- The Festival of Jazz hosts area high school jazz bands throughout the day to perform, learn and improvise with some professionals of the jazz world. The event ends with an evening concert, which is open to the public. 

The closing concert and award ceremony will be held at Everest-Rohrer Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 18. It features specially selected high school soloists from the festival, Truth in Jazz of Elkhart and the Bethel University Jazz Ensemble, with guest clinicians Patrick Hession, trumpet; Jim Catalano, percussion; Jay Jehl, trombone; and Todd Williams, saxophone. 

Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Tickets can be purchased online here.
