Bethel University: 2025 Culinary Camp, led by Soulful Kitchen South Bend

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Bethel University announced it was recently awarded $91,020 by Lilly Endowment Inc. through its initiative, Indiana Youth Programs on Campus.

University officials say this was the second round of funding for this initiative.

In 2022, Bethel received $188,537, which launched the Pilot Summer Academy, expanding existing academic summer camps in nursing, STEM, and culture while expanding opportunities for under-served youth in the community.

With the first round of funding, Bethel says they were able to expand the capacity of academic camps, offer income-based scholarships, and offer new camps, including nursing, physics, esports, culinary, and advanced art.
