Beyond Nuclear files federal lawsuit to stop Palisades Nuclear Plant from reopening

COVERT, Mich. -- Beyond Nuclear, a non-profit against nuclear power and nuclear weapons, has filed a lawsuit against Holtec and the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission to stop the Palisades Nuclear Plant from reopening.

Other plaintiffs alongside Beyond Nuclear include Don't Waste Michigan and Michigan Safe Energy.

The lawsuit claims the exemption granted by the NRC for Holtec to submit and amend its operating license is unlawful.
