Biden lashes out against Romney over education

DETROIT, Mich. -- Vice President Joe Biden was in Michigan on Sunday to about education.

Biden spoke to a large crowd at the American Federation of Teacher's Convention.

He touched on a number of issues and slammed Romney saying the Republican does not treat public education as a priority.

"He says let the states use all the Title One dollars to boost enrollment in private schools and alternative schools and basically the effect is -- to strip you of your voice," Biden said.

He also accused Romney of plans to cut money for preschool programs and college loans.

The American Federation of Teachers represents 1.5 million teachers.
