Big eye could be that of a Scombrid

FLORIDA -- The mysterious eyeball that washed up on a Florida beach a few days ago could be solved.

A biology professor at Duke wrote in an email that it could be that of a large Scrombrid.

It is part of the tuna family and similar to a swordfish or a marlin.

She wrote that people don't realize how big the eyes can get because most of it is inside the head.
