SOUTH BEND, Ind.- Senate Bill 134 passed and will now go to the House for a vote, with the ultimate goal of no longer banning the sale of dogs from puppy mills across the state of Indiana.
Without any legal restrictions, breeders and brokers would be able to sell dogs, regardless of their health or where they were bred.
Local volunteers and experts advise families and those looking to adopt to do their research and know exactly whom they are buying from.
