MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A South Bend man is headed to prison.

21-year-old Kyle Bishop was slapped with a sentence of two-years behind bars and two-years of community service on Thursday morning.

Police said that Bishop was involved in the shooting death of Derick Lockhart back in April of 2010.

The shooting happened in the McDonald's parking lot on Lincolnway East in Mishawaka. Police said the fight started over a girl.

Bishop accepted a plea deal and testified against Alex Robertson, who was convicted of murder, and sentenced to 55 years in prison.
