Temperatures have been rather cold all day and will get colder overnight. Lows will fall to the low teens and single digits will wind chill temperatures below zero. There is a chance for lake effect snow tonight, mainly for Berrien and Cass counties—as there is a western wind direction over the lake. An additional 1-2 inches is possible overnight—locations in northern Berrien County could receive 3 inches. Drifting snow is also a potential as winds remain breezy overnight.

Light widespread system snow is expected Sunday overnight into MLK Day. The system snow could bring renewed chances of lake effect through Tuesday. However, the biggest change will be arrival of bitter cold air next week. Highs will only reach the teens and lows near below zero. Temperatures warm by midweek with more chances for snow.

Tonight: Mostly cloudy, breezy, frigid. Low 8.

Sunday: Clouds building, some PM snow showers, cold. High 18.

MLK Jr. Day: Snow likely, breezy, frigid. High 12.

Tuesday: Cold, overnight snow chances. High 20.
