SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- The Indiana Chapter of Black Lives Matter will host a rally on Saturday at Jon R. Hunt Plaza from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. The rally is geared towards the interactions between women of color and South Bend Police in the aftermath of the controversial shooting of Eric Logan.
The rally will include speeches from Black Lives Matter and community members expressing their concerns about policing in South Bend. In addition to the stories being told, community members will also form committees to serve as liaisons between city leaders, law enforcement, and the community they serve.
The event is open to the public.
