WINAMAC, Ind. -- The American Red Cross is partnering with the Knights of Columbus to host a blood drive in honor of Haley Fox, a nursing student who passed away in 2021 from Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
The second annual blood drive in her honor will be hosted at the Knights of Columbus Social Hall from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow that affects white blood cells and is one of the more common cancers to afflict children, according to the American Red Cross.
Close college friends of Fox say that she was always looking to give back to the community of Winamac, with the goal of always making life better for others.
Those who wish to donate can schedule an appointment at https://www.redcrossblood.org/ using the sponsor code: haley.
The Knights of Columbus Social Hall is located at 340 East 50 North in Winamac.
