Lake effect snow is falling Friday night. The ground is melting the snow but the water is then re-freezing as air temps are in the 20s. Slick roads remain a concern through Saturday morning along with lake effect snow showers.
Cold air surges air Friday night, tanking temperatures into the 20s, bringing blustery wind and lake effect snow showers. Accumulation of 1”-3” possible in the lake effect zones.
Saturday starts snowy, cold and windy and ends a bit calmer and clearer but the day stays cold. Any snow from the morning is likely to melt slowly during the day. Temperatures struggle to reach the freezing mark and drop again Saturday night into the 20s as skies start to clear. Sunday is quiet but still cold with highs in the 30s. Temperatures stay cold through early next week with another chance of snow Tuesday.
Tonight: Lake effect snow, low of 22.
Saturday: Breezy morning with lake effect snow, high of 32.
Sunday: Partly cloudy, high of 38.
Monday: Mostly cloudy, high of 36.
