ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- An attack on a realtor in St. Joseph County prompted the Elkhart County Board of Realtors to find ways to keep realtors safe.
They held a realtor safety seminar Thursday.
The keynote speaker was an Arkansas man whose mother was killed by one of her clients in 2014.
The Elkhart County Board of Realtors says its members have started using a safety app that has enhanced safety measures and location tracking.
They have also started hosting self-defense classes for local realtors.
