Boil order issued in Goshen
A water main shutdown is scheduled for Thursday, July 28th in Goshen.
Water Utility has issued a boil water order from 2905 South Main Street to Waterford Elementary.
The Indiana Department of Environmental Management says the water will be shut off at around 7:30 a.m. and turned back on once installation is completed.
City water within this area should not be consumed without first following boiling procedures. The department says the water is safe for bathing, laundry, and restroom facilities.
They also say that cleaning dishes with a dishwasher is acceptable if it has a sanitizing cycle. Hand washed dishes should be rinsed with boiled or bottled water.
Once two water samples have been taken 24 hours apart, analyzed for bacteria, and found to be bacteria-free, the boil order will be lifted.
Notice of the boil order cancellation will be distributed via a customer flier to the two businesses. For further information or to report specific service concerns, please call the Goshen Water Department at 534-5306.
