Box cutter used as weapon in fight in Elkhart County

ELKHART, Ind -- Saturday afternoon deputies responded to a battery at a residence on County Road 13.
It was discovered that 42-year-old, Donald Shepherd, had been cut several times in the face, arms and legs by a knife-like instrument.
The victim identified the accused as Stephen Clark age 58. The accused was located and taken into custody. He is currently being held in the Elkhart County Correctional facility for aggravated battery.
Shepherd was taken to Elkhart General Hospital for his injuries. He is listed in stable condition.
