Brother, sister collect toys for kids celebrating Christmas in the hospital

Reese, MI -- A brother and sister may be just kids themselves but they're proving how big their hearts are by collecting toys for sick children in the hospital.

Nine-year-old Jacob and his seven-year-old sister Maddie are planning to send all of the toys to the kids at the Detroit Children's Hospital just in time for Christmas.

"I'm collecting toys for the children's hospital, well, because I feel bad for the children who are sick and injured there," Jacob said.

"We feel bad that they're in the hospital so we wanted to give a little love to them and show them how much we care," Maddie added.

If you'd like to help, you can drop off your new, unused toys at the Millington Methodist Church, as well as at Pastor Abatelli's office. His number is 989-871-1381.

Unfortunately, the hospital cannot accept stuffed animals.
