BERRIEN COUNTY, Ind. -- A Michiana couple is starting their new year with a little bundle of joy, their new baby girl is southwest Michigan’s first baby of 2021!
Tiffany and Timothy Brand of Buchanan welcomed their baby girl, Raven Sierra Brand on New Year’s day at 3:03 a.m. Tiffany said their baby girl was supposed to be born on another holiday.
"The original due date was on Christmas, like literally on Christmas day, and I was late,” Tiffany said.
Newborn baby, Raven Sierra Brand was supposed to be a Christmas miracle for parents Tiffany and Timothy, instead, she was born six days later on New Year’s Day. Baby Brand was born Friday morning at Spectrum Health Lakeland Hospital in Niles. She weighed in at seven pounds and 15 ounces and measured 20 inches long.
Her mom tells me so far it's been easy taking care of her.
“She’s really been doing is sleeping, um, hopefully, you know to raise them right, and then maybe later on, in the near, we can probably try for a boy, “Tiffany said.
