Buchanan man goes larger-than-life for Halloween
BUCHANAN, Mich. -- One Buchanan man is kicking his love of paper mache creations up a notch this Halloween.
Joel Yazell is building a 10-foot tall heart in his front yard and it is not the Valentine's Day heart either It is the kind that beats in your chest
He is well-known for his paper mache creations.
And while it does not look like much now, the creation will beat and glow in the dark by Halloween.
He has made more than 50 larger-than-life sculptures for various holidays and says he just used anything he can find.
"Sticks, newspapers, paper mache, wire I got left over in the garage," Yazell said. "I basically go in my garage and see what kind of garbage I got and start with that."
The beating heart should be done in little more than a week.
