MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The City of Mishawaka announced the Redevelopment Department has decided to remove the building on the northwest corner of Union Street and 13th Street.

Due to the proximity of the building to the street, southbound traffic at the intersection will be shifted to the left turn lane.

Work is scheduled to begin on Wednesday.

Officials expect the work to be completed by Oct. 20.

Motorists are asked to use alternate routes during restrictions to avoid delays.

Barricades and signage will be in place during this lane closure.
