Burglaries by fence cutting in Elkhart County

ELKHART, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff's Department has a warning for local businesses. On Wednesday morning at around 3:45, officers posted a video to their Facebook page showing them investigating a local business that was burglarized after their fence was cut. In the video, officers say the suspects stole metal from behind the fence. 

Captain Jim Bradberry with the Elkhart Sheriff's Department says the businesses being investigated were on Mishawaka Road in the Baugo and Concord Township areas. 

Captain Bradberry says to prevent this from happening to your business, it would be wise to install extra security measures on your property.
