Bus slams into dry cleaners
DETROIT, Mich. -- A bus driver was killed after his bus slammed into a building.
The crash caused a gas main break.
The driver was in his mid 40's.
Passengers say it felt like the bus was getting ready to make a turn and they barely had time to brace for impact with the dry cleaning business.
"I grabbed onto the handle bar on the back of the seat, and the pole almost went through my cousin's head. And I'm like Jaime, come on, come on. We are trying to kick the door open and get the door open but we couldn't. Another passenger climbed out the window and we opened the window," said bus passenger Brandi Torbert.
Several people on the bus were hurt.
One person was listed in serious condition.
