Business on the rise in Benton Harbor
BENTON HARBOR, Mich. -- This city that was once a booming manufacturing town has certainly seen hard times. But today many say that changes are on the horizon.
Just two years ago, Bryan Tutton opened a financial services office downtown. He says that since then, a lot of businesses have followed suit.
"I'm really excited to see all the changes and it feels like everyday there's something new that's popping up around up around here," Tutton explained.
New shops and restaurants line the Arts District and Whirlpool is opening its headquarters in Benton Harbor, bringing well over a thousand jobs to the area.
In addition, Harbor Shores has been up and running for a few year. The new golf course that is open to the public will be the home for the PGA Tour again in 2014.
Many businesses are looking to move into Benton Harbor, they say it has a prime location and a lot of potential.
