California balcony collapse kills five, injures eight

ABC News reports five people are dead and eight more injured after an apartment building balcony collapses in California.

Police said it happened around 12:41 a.m. in Berkeley, which is just five miles from Oakland.

The collapsed balcony was on the fourth floor.

Those injured were taken to two hospitals in the city.

Police are working with building inspectors to determine what caused that collapse.
