California couple finds millions in rare gold coins

A California couple found a hidden cache of extremely rare gold coins on their property and they are taking them straight to the bank.

They found more than 1,400 coins dating back to the 1840s and they are in mint condition.

"It might have been stolen. It might have been just somebody who buried the gold and then something happened to them," said David Hall, a coin expert. "In those days you didn't pay for things with bank wires or off your iPhone, you paid for things with gold."

The homeowners want to remain anonymous because they do not want to start a gold rush on their property.

Experts in the rare coin industry say it is possible the original owner used the ground as a bank.
