The lucky couple who found a buried stash of rare coins might have to turn them over to the government.
A California couple found a hidden cache of extremely rare gold coins on their property but the coins may have been stolen from the United States Mint back in 1900.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle, the coins match the description of a gold coin heist from that year.
If the coins were stolen from the government, the couple may be entitled to a finder's fee but they may not be able to keep the stash that is worth about $10 million.
