Candy Cane Express hosts train rides for 'Toys for Tots'

LA PORTE, Ind. -- The Candy Cane Express was departing from the Hesston Steam Museum Sunday, and train fare is free for a donated toy.
The train rides collect toys for tots. One man told ABC 57 that it's important to encourage people to come out and give to the La Porte community.
"Were just thankful that we have the capability to encourage people to come out and give,” said Ted Rita. “This is the season for giving and that's what we do here."
The station will still be giving rides next weekend. Bring an unwrapped toy worth $5 or more and grab a seat.
