Cannabis festival planned for Niles sets date

NILES, Mich.—A new festival planned for Niles this summer has set a date.

The Niles Cannabis Festival will take place on Saturday, July 31 from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Riverfront Park South in Niles, according to the event’s ticketing website.

Tickets are now on sale and start at $100.

The 21+ event will showcase cannabis, food and other vendors.

Live music will also be a part of the one-day event.

Face mask requirements and social distancing measures will be in place for the event.

The city council voted in April to approve the event and at the time, city officials said if this first event runs smoothly, a larger-scale version could take place sometime in the fall.
