CAPS kicks off National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Child and Parent Services held a Rally for Children Kickoff Event Wednesday to start the conversation for National Child Abuse Prevention Month, which begins on April 1.

They invited people to help them plant their Pinwheel Garden on the front lawn of CAPS.

"The Pinwheel Garden here at CAPS represents the care-free joy-filled life we want for every child in our community. That's what child abuse prevention is. It's about creating that safe, healthy, nurturing environment for every child," said Candy Yoder, President/CEO of CAPS.

CAPS also encourages people to participate in CAPS Wear Blue for Kids Day on April 29.
